They are expected to receive a two-year training <br/>exclusively designed for ITP, in addition to their prerequisite courses.<br/><br/><br/>History<br/><br/>Since the ITP's foundation in 1999, ITPers have done an excellent job in various <br/>activities, such as business startups, business plan competitions, science and <br/>technology competitions. Up to now, some ITPers have entered world renowned <br/>universities to have their further studies, and some have got positions to work <br/>in some of the Fortune 500 companies.<br/><br/><br/>Student groups<br/><br/>Several student societies attached to ITP have been established since its <br/>foundation. They are ASES-ZJU (Asia-Pacific Student Entrepreneurship Society <br/>Zhejiang University Chapter), IAESTE-ZJU (the International Association for the <br/>Exchange of Students for Technical Experience Zhejiang University Chapter) <br/>and FEC (Zhejiang University Future Entrepreneurship Club). <br/>These groups take an active part in a variety of activities for international <br/>exchange, internship and startup practice. ITP are always looking forward to <br/>communicating and cooperating with organizations alike home and abroad.<br/><br/><br/>Mission<br/><br/>This program aims at developing the ITPers' talents for innovation and <br/>entrepreneurship by means of open education and intensive training.<br/><br/><br/>Teaching model<br/><br/>Lectures mainly delivered by outstanding professors, providing with <br/>communication with some successful entrepreneurs and professional managers.<br/><br/>* Interactive teaching and learning, fully exploring potential of students<br/>* Unconventional teaching method, with case and occasion study as MBA course<br/>* Researches accomplished through teamwork, along with in-class learning<br/>* A variety of extracurricular activities, such as internship in Hi-tech <br/>companies<br/><br/><br/>Practice<br/><br/>Internship<br/><br/>ITP is characterized by summer internship, where theories are extended to <br/>practice in enterprises. With working experience in some famous companies <br/>and practical knowledge on the operation of corporations, ITPers are highly <br/>competent, with the capability of innovation and problem solving.<br/><br/>Internship opportunities are provided by various enterprises, including <br/>incubators firms in Hangzhou Hi-tech Park and some Fortune 500 companies, <br/>such as GE and P&G, which allow ITPers to obtain a comprehensive knowledge <br/>of the operation of a company.<br/><br/>International Exchange<br/><br/>IAESTE -- Internship Program:<br/>As the first member of IAESTE CHINA, Zhejiang University started in this <br/>program in the year 2000. Since then, more than 17 ITPers have been offered <br/>the opportunities to practice abroad, and with their excellent performance <br/>and efforts, the ITP has won a high reputation in the field.<br/><br/>Academic and Culture Orientation Program<br/><br/>Subsidized by Tang Yongqian Grants Fund from Zhejiang University, more than <br/>20 ITPers have been sent to prestigious universities in United States and UK <br/>-- University of California, Davis and University of Leeds, etc, since 2002.<br/><br/>Cooperation with Hi-tech Entrepreneurship Training Center, HKUST<br/><br/>Professor Zhong Cixian was invited to visit ITP in 2003 for academic <br/>communication. In 2005, Professor Zhong began to offer classes on "Start-up <br/>Training" as a cooperation, which highlights ITP dramatically.<br/><br/><br/>Community Activities<br/><br/>ITPers initiate social activities enthusiastically, which significantly <br/>present opportunities to practice the theory and to study beyond books. <br/>Their roles as a leader or founder have fostered their leadership and thus, <br/>created an open atmosphere for self-improvement.<br/><br/>The Asia-Pacific Student Entrepreneurship Society (ASES)<br/><br/>The Asia-Pacific Student Entrepreneurship Society-Zhejiang University was <br/>founded in 2003, a society closely tied to ITP.
